Mr Gerald Giam Yean Song asked the Minister for Health whether the annual MediSave withdrawal limits for chronic disease management will be completely lifted under Healthier SG.
Mr Ong Ye Kung: The withdrawal limit for MediSave continues to be relevant and will be in place, to ensure adequacy in healthcare savings through life. In 2021, about nine in 10 of all patients who withdrew MediSave under the Chronic Disease Management Programme did not reach their annual limits. The Ministry will continue to monitor MediSave utilisation and review withdrawal limits regularly.
