Assoc Prof Jamus Jerome Lim asked the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth (a) what are the reasons why the audition requirement to renew busking licences cannot be fulfilled with technological solutions, such as live video conferencing; and (b) if auditions via live video conferencing are allowed, whether this alternative will not be limited to only those with good busking track records.
