Ms He Ting Ru asked the Minister for National Development whether there are plans to conserve People’s Park Complex for its strong community significance and design merits in view of the recent initiation of its collective sale process.
Mr Desmond Lee: Conserving our built heritage is an important part of Singapore’s planning process. The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) conducts regular reviews to identify and assess buildings with heritage value for conservation, including the engagement of building owners to discuss development plans and possible conservation, and will share such plans when ready.
