Ms He Ting Ru asked the Minister for Transport as part of the study on a separate Certificate of Entitlement (COE) category for private-hire cars, whether the Ministry will consider splitting the new private-hire vehicle COE category into electric vehicles (EVs) and non-electric vehicles, with higher allocation for EVs in order to accelerate electrification among high-mileage vehicles.
