Mr K Shanmugam: The Member may refer to the report on the Annual Road Traffic Situation 2023 on the Police’s website for the annual number of road traffic accidents.
The Traffic Police (TP) do not track the number of road deaths per billion vehicle kilometres. TP tracks the number of road deaths per 100,000 population, which is one of the Global Health Observatory indicators, and Sustainable Development Goals tracked by the World Health Organization. TP also tracks the number of road deaths per 10,000 vehicles.
